Our Bed & Breakfast Guest House amongst many trees, “Miti Mingi” in Kiswahili, provides an ideal setting for a comfortable stay with a maximum of privacy and service. It is ideal for any traveller who would like to experience being a resident in Nairobi rather than a hotel guest.

Miti Mingi Guest House is for those who wish to enjoy peace and tranquillity in a green haven, and yet want to be close to dynamic Nairobi with its lively international art, music and entertainment scene.

Although ideal for business travellers and Rest and Recouperation seekers – with wireless high speed Internet, large desks and office chairs – anyone, whether tourist or business traveller, will enjoy the warmly decorated rooms and stunning garden full of exotic flora and birds. Some thirty species of birds can be spotted sunning on a Frangipani tree or nesting in the Barcode Bamboo or Oleander bush.

We aim to be a ‘green’ Guest House which is achieved by collecting rainwater, use of solar power, separating garbage and conscious use of water and electricity. Compost is made from biodegradable waste and gladly received by the plants and trees.

Accomodation
Our Guest House offers a choice of four en-suite bedrooms – two doubles and two singles. Double rooms can have either twin or double beds. All rooms are newly decorated in warm colours related to the room names. Rooms are equipped with excellent mattresses, satellite TV, adequate reading lights, large desks, office chairs, battery-charged back-up lights, mosquito nets and lockable wardrobes. Bathrooms are fully tiled and have pressured and solar-heated showers with back-up booster.

We serve a sumptuous and varied breakfast ‘al fresco’ – the average temperature of 22 degrees C allows for this almost year round. The fully equipped kitchen may be used by guests to cook other meals. Excellent restaurants are in close proximity.
