Alliance Française de Nairobi, is the Kenyan branch of the French Cultural Cooperation Organization situated in the French Cultural Centre and is based right in the heart of Nairobi Central Business District on Loita Street.
Founded in 1883 in Paris, France and established since 1949 in Nairobi, the Alliance Française de Nairobi's primary mission is to offer space and create opportunity for free artistic and cultural expression, thus fostering healthy exchanges among people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
The Alliance Française offers amongst many other things French language courses on many different levels and a huge library full with French books, CD's and movies.
For the showcasing of cultural projects, the center is equipped with a movie / theatre stage, several indoor exhibition halls and a large outdoor stage in the Alliance Française Gardens.
