Southern Cross Scuba

Southern Cross Scuba has opened for business in 2003 and within only a few years has become a well established diving operator in Diani beach on Kenya's south coast.

Our main operational diving base is at Aqualand next to Pinewood Village Resort on the beautiful Kinondo beach. We also have a branch at the Indian Ocean Beach Resort, Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa, Leopard Beach Resort & Spa and Leisure Lodge Beach & Golf Resort.

Our diving centers are open daily from 8 am to 5 pm and we are catering for experienced divers and beginners alike. As registered PADI resort facility, Southern Cross Scuba is committed to conduct diving activities under current EU health and safety standards.

From the very beginning, our working ethos was strongly directed towards environmentally friendly operation and education. We have actively organized and supported cleanup efforts and mooring projects and we are proud to be one of the world's first diving operators to issue 100% AWARE certifications.

Southern Cross Scuba is also supporting the East Africa Whale Shark Trust. The EAWST is committed to the protection of the friendly giants by educating the local fishermen and touring local schools to teach the children about the ocean environment and what they can do to protect it. Together with Southern Cross Scuba and the Hubbs-Sea World Research Institute from San Diego, California the EAWST has organized two hugely successful whale shark tagging expeditions in 2007 and 2008 during which 20 sharks were tagged with the latest high tech satellite receivers to monitor their movement.
