The traditional tented camp safari is by far the best choice to explore the wildlife on a Safari in Africa. There is nothing to compare with being in a luxurous camp in a beautiful setting with the sights and sounds of nature closeby. You might want to come to Africa to see the wildlife and the beautiful African landscapes, while being close to the rhythm of nature, and the luxurous tented camp provides the perfect way to do that!

The camp is located at Ikoma, just beyond the actual boundaries of the Serengeti National Park (see map on the left bar), sitting snugly in a clearing surrounded by Acacia trees. Here you can find probably one of the best game drives in the area, being close to the Grumeti River. Witness the amazing annual Wildebeest and Zebra Migration between May and August, which passes the camp every year! Mapito means the track of animals, and the locals avoid that place because there are always lots of wildlife!

Its location makes all parts of the Serengeti accessible in between short time. And due to its location just outside the park, walking Safaris, night game drives and cultural experiences are other highlights that are organised by the camp

The small camp with 10 spacious walk-in tents provides an intimate atmosphere for only 20 people, with excellent service of our friendly staff. The tents are equipped with running hoter water bucket showers, mosquito nettings and electricity powered by solar energy throughout the day.

Personal attention and care is of high importance here in Tanzania and staff will go to their extremes to ensure that you have a wonderful, satisfying and memorable stay. Everything is done at your leisure. You can decide how you want to spend your day at the camp, and when to go for game drives in the Serengeti or Walking Safaris.Throughout the stay you will be serenaded by the resident wildlife.

We work closely with the nearby local communities, to sustain village development like school projects, wildlife management and employ.
